Now I'm applying to law school not because I particularly want to be a lawyer (I'm pretty ambivalent about it, actually) but because it seems like something I would be good at and I have no good reasons not to. Thank you for sharing your story, it's made me feel a lot better about my situation. I also agree with you about the constraints, I have found in my (limited) experience that I create much more fulfilling work when I am pushing limitations than when I try to create things out of thin air.
